Requirements, Salary and Benefits
- Advanced Next.js/React Expertise: Deep proficiency in building dynamic, server-rendered, and static web applications using React and TypeScript, with a strong understanding of Next.js features
- UI/Styling: Tailwind CSS
- UI Development & Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate closely with designers, translating UI/UX designs and prototypes (we use Figma) into high-quality, responsive, and accessible web interfaces.
- State Management & Client Logic: Experience implementing robust client-side logic, effectively managing application state (e.g., with Zustand or React Context) and handling complex forms with reliable validation (e.g., using Zod). Note: Specific tools optional, working with state + validation required.
- Version Control: Proficiency with standard front-end development practices, including version control with Git/GitHub. working in collaborative repos + creating pull requests to git section.
- Testing/Deployment: Experience building, testing, and deploying applications using CI/CD pipelines (specifically GitHub Actions) to hosting platforms like Vercel.
- Web Application Guru: Knowledge + experience in testing and deploying scalable web applications.
- Monitoring/Analytics: Familiarity with monitoring, analytics, and error tracking tools (e.g., Datadog, PostHog) to understand application performance and user behaviour.
- API Integration: Skill in effectively consuming various backend APIs (REST, GraphQL, etc.) to fetch, manipulate, and display data within the user interface, both on the server and client.
- Code Craftsmanship: A passion for writing clean, maintainable, scalable, and performant code, with a focus on optimising load times, bundle sizes, and overall user experience. Working to a set style guide/coding standards. Writing clear, concise documentation inline with project/company documentation guidelines
- Collaborative Spirit: Excellent communication skills are essential. You should be self-motivated, adept at managing your workload, meeting deadlines, and contributing positively in both independent and team-based scenarios within our established workflows.
- Problem Solver: Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, work from documentation, troubleshoot + debug independently.
- Sector Specific Knowledge: Experience working within the Legal sector.
- Comprehensive Testing: A strong commitment to quality, demonstrated through writing meaningful unit/integration tests (Jest) and end-to-end tests (Playwright) to ensure application robustness and reliability.
- Architectural Understanding: A solid grasp of the Next.js and Vercel application architecture, including routing, rendering strategies, edge functions, caching, and deployment patterns, enabling informed technical decisions.
