The role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Back-end Engineer (3yrs+ Experience) to grow existing skills as part of a supportive and growing development team. We are keen for applicants who are enthusiastic, self-motivated and driven to develop themselves. The successful applicant will become a key member of staff and grow with the company and the sectors it serves. 

Requirements, Salary and Benefits

  • Strong Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of C# and extensive experience building and optimising backend services.
  • Database proficiency: Comfort working with relational databases like PostgreSQL, including design and management aspects.
  • API expertise: Proven success in designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful APIs. Experience with other API protocols is beneficial.
  • Security awareness: A solid grasp of security best practices and experience implementing authentication/authorisation mechanisms (like SSO, OAuth, JWT).
  • Modern development mindset: You actively use version control (we use Git/GitHub), understand the value of testing (we use tools like Postman), and are familiar with CI/CD concepts and monitoring/logging tools.
  • Code Craftsmanship: A passion for writing clean, maintainable, scalable, and performant code. Working to a set guide/coding standards. Writing clear, concise documentation inline with project/company documentation guidelines.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Excellent communication skills are essential. You should be self-motivated, adept at managing your workload, meeting deadlines, and contributing positively in both independent and team-based scenarios within our established workflows.
  • Problem Solver: Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, work from documentation, troubleshoot + debug independently.
  • Sector Specific Knowledge: Experience working within the Legal sector.
  • Comprehensive Testing: A strong commitment to quality, demonstrated through writing meaningful unit/integration tests and end-to-end tests to ensure application robustness and reliability.
  • Full-time, Remote, Permanent, 37.5 hrs per week
